Disney Day 6 - Magic Kingdom the final day

Oh, the final day...so many emotions were running through me.  I was so thankful to have the opportuinity to tak this trip, but was so incredibly sad to see it come to a close.  We were determined to make this day just as memorable as the days prior.  Our first goal was to meet Rapunzel, followed by Tiana and Jazmine to make our tour of the princesses complete.  Tiana just couldn't get enough of Liam...and, you guessed it, gave him a BIG kiss.  Jasmine was a little jealous...and did just the same.  This boy was SPOILED by attention from such beautiful ladies! 

We went on to ride Aladdin's Magic Carpets, Pirates of the Carribean, and the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse.  We ate lunch at a Mexican restaurant, and headed out for the morning.

We took long naps, played in the pool, and were refreshed and ready to make our final night our most memorable.  We headed downtown once again to eat at the T-Rex restaurant...soooo cool!  This place had HUGE robotic dinosaurs everywhere.  Liam was a little scared, but couldn't take his eyes off of them.  There were meteor showers every 15 minutes, and we ate by a huge fish tank....Liam was in heaven.  The food was just as delicious as the atmosphere was entertaining!

Next, we headed back to the park.  Our big goals were to find a street side location for the parade and fireworks.  The kids settled in, geared up in their glow necklaces and bracelets, and Seth surprised me with an espresso float.  A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!  It was espresso and ice cream.  I've never had anything quite like it, and savored every sip.  We had a great view of the electrical parade.  One of the funniest parts was when Cinderella came by.  This time it had nothing to do with Liam.  Makayla had adorned herself with Mickey Mouse stickers...all over her arms and face.  When the Stepsisters went by, they heckled and made fun of Makayla for wearing stickers all over her face.  Thank goodness this episode didn't scar our little sweetie!  She enjoyed it!

Next, we hung out by the castle and watched the Magic, Memories, and You show.  They showcased pictures on the castle from the day set to music, and enhanced by special effects.  I must say, this was one of my favorite experiences from the entire trip!!!  Words just don't do it justice. 

Finally, the firework show.  We loved watching it the first night from the ferry, but to be underneath of them was a totally different, and spectacular experience.

Because it was our final night, we lingered around the park, and took in a few final rides.  We rode Snow White's Scary Adventure (which won't be there the next time we go), Peter Pan's Flight, The Haunted Mansion (wow, the kids came a long way in one week when it comes to rides), and It's a Small World. 

I felt like we had the perfect first morning, and an equally perfect ending to our visit to Disney.  Kudos to Seth for all of his planning of the trip and making this the most enjoyable family vacation EVER! 

Disney Day 5 - Hollywood Studios

What a jam packed, thrilling, fun, and overall AMAZING day!

Hollywood Studios is home to a fairly new ride based on the Toy Story Movie.  We had gotten wind that you needed to get your "Fast Pass" tickets as soon as you arrived.  We did have a little detour when we ran into Piglet, Donald Duck, and Daisy.  After our meet and greet, Seth headed off to get our tickets.  What was so crazy, is that everyone else must have gotten the same message.  He had to wait in line to get tickets to return later!  While he waited in line, the kids and I waited to meet Woody and Buzz Lightyear.  Liam got a big kick out of meeting these two...guess who got the urge to kiss another character...this girl right here.  I gave Woody a big ol' smacker!

Next on the agenda was a Disney Junior puppet show featuring some of the characters from the kids' favorite TV shows.  They had performances from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, and Little Einsteins.  Cute, interactive, and entertaining.

We enjoyed watching The Voyage of the Little Mermaid, but love, love, LOVED the musical of Beauty and the Beast.  Liam and Makayla were mesmerized.  I have always loved this Disney movie, but to see it as a live performance was so entertaining...the singing, dancing, and romance.  I just loved it!

The next main event took Liam's thoughts away from Cinderella (at least for an hour or so).  We watched a stunt show with various cars, motorcycles, and stuntmen.  Liam sat on the edge of his seat, and kept talking about the "awesome stunts."  I wasn't really that thrilled about going, but to watch Liam's reactions were worth every minute of it.  An added bonus: the stunts were pretty awesome! ;)

After sitting for so long, we took the kids to the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids playground and turned them loose.  They played, and played, made a few friends, and played some more.  This got us ready for the Toy Story ride.  This was one of my favorite rides out of all four parks.  It was a 3-D, interactive ride.  The setting was almost like a carnival where you played different games.  As your car moved throughout the ride, your used your cannon to "shoot" different targets.  Your vehicle kept your score so you could compete with your neighbor.  Too bad this ride was so popular.  I would have loved to have ridden it more than once.

Sticking to the 3-D theme, we went to watch a 3-D Muppet show.  I remembered the theater, but the show was totally different from the last time I was at Disney.  This was the perfect time for...Liam to fall asleep.  It was absolutely adorable.  At the end of the show, it was raining.  Seth helped me put on my poncho, with sleeping Liam underneath, and we headed out into the refreshing drizzle.  He was slightly confused when he woke up...Phineas and Ferb, on the other hand, were delighted to meet him!

The rain did certainly clear out the park.  It was fun to stick around and enjoy the park without so many visitors.  We were hoping to see the firework show, as they say it is the best one out of all of the parks, but we were all wearing down...and didn't feel like watching fireworks in the rain.  We opted to stop by a little coffee shop and bakery for some treats, and called it a day.

It is so impressive how Disney leaves no detail untouched.  Every park you visit, leaves you wanting more.  I had so many favorite adventures at each.  Memories were made, scrapbooks were autographed, photos were taken, and dreams were made to come true.  I am so thankful for the opportunity to share this adventure with Seth, Makayla, and Liam.  I can only hope that we can return as a family in a few years to create even more memories.

Disney Day 4 - Epcot

Whew, by Day 4, we were starting to feel a little tired....but, we were at Disney!!!  So, we picked up our momentum and headed to Epcot.  First on our agenda was to meet Tinkerbell.  Makayla was excited since Tinkerbell has recently become her favorite Disney character. Note she slept in her "princess hair," and not a hair was out of place when she awoke in the morning...so we left it as is!

After meeting Tinkerbell, we spent the morning visiting the land and sea exhibits.  Liam especially loved the aquarium portion, and didn't want to leave.  We rode a Nemo ride, and Makayla and I rode their newest exhibit Sorin'.  It truly makes you feel like you are soaring over famous sights in California, and has the specific aromas to match.

After naps, we headed back to Epcot to visit the various countries.  We had dinner and did some shopping...

When we arrived back at the hotel, it was time to disassemble the hair, and wash out the "jellyfish gel."  Makayla and I got quite a laugh out of this...what a wild mess of hair!

Our visit to Epcot was pretty laid back, which left us rested and ready for a full day at Hollywood Studios.
