Blog-a-thon!

So, I've gotten a little behind on my blogging. Thought I'd catch up a bit while watching Dancing with the Stars!

A few new quotes from Makayla:
Saturday: (when referring to a donut) "It's AWESOME!"
Today: (while at the sitter's) "T T gimme a second, I trying to EAT!" The sitter wrote that one down for me...I'm still laughing about it!

Maple Festival
Dad, Mom, and I took Makayla to the Maple Festival on March 21. We went to an "all you can eat" pancake breakfast. Makayla (and I) indulged! We also went to a sugar camp where they make the syrup. Makayla was so excited to purchase some homemade syrup.

Following the festival, we took Makayla to a trout fish hatchery and let her feed the fish. She kept calling, "Here, fishy, fishy, fishy." She tried to feed the fish, but never could quite get the food into the water. Too funny!Makayla continues to LOVE music class. Unfortunately, we are down to our final few classes and will be finishing at the end of the month. We recently got her a hula hoop after learning how to use one for circle songs. We play with it often.

In anticipation of Easter, Mom, Makayla, and I decorated a Bunny House. Too bad it fell down five minutes after construction! :)

Sporting some UVA shoes...SHH!!! Don't tell Daddy!

Good-bye St. Patty's tree...

Hello, Easter tree!Dedication
Makayla's dedication took place at church yesterday. She drank a whole cup of juice just before...Makayla + juice = one WOUND up little girl. She is a ham, but with the help of some juice, and the fact that she had an audience, she was REALLY a ham! I love it. She LOVES her new pink Bible. I love the fact that she has a church and a pastor that love her. I hope I can be the best parent that I can possibly be. Goodness only knows I try.
