As I sit here tonight watching the Neighborhood Inaugural Ball, I am reminded once again as to what a historical day this is. We read about, and I teach about, so many things that have happened in the past that mold the way we live our lives today. For me, this inauguration is one of the most historical things that has happened in my lifetime. I know that one day Makayla will be reading about this in her history books. I am excited and eager about change.
If you know me well, you know I get excited about any holiday. I had to deck Lil' Mak out in red, white, and blue for the big day...we even got her picture with Obama! Won't her teachers be impressed one day?! :)
