Makayla's BIG news

Well, I guess the t-shirt says it all. Makayla is going to be a big sister! We certainly are excited. We shared with our families on Thanksgiving Day...yet one more blessing to be thankful for!!!

We went to the doctor yesterday for my 12 week check-up. Everything is looking great and the estimated due date is June 15th...thank goodness the last day of school is June 9th. Right now Makayla loves babies...I hope she will just love having one of her own. Seth is hoping for a boy, while I'm just hoping for a healthy little one.

I'm finally feeling better. I was pretty queasy for the first 11 weeks. I still get tired easily, but part of that is working with first graders!

I've already started the crazy dreams and pregnancy brain (never fully got my brain back from the first pregnancy!). My appetite is starting to increase, and I think about baked potatoes all the time!

Is it a sign...we found out I was expecting on Oct. 9th. That morning when I got to school one of my little boys had a gift for me. I opened it to find a little plastic box filled with Hershey kisses and BLUE M&Ms. I asked him what they were for, and he simply replied, "I just thought you'd like them." Could it mean BOY? Only time will tell.

I go back to the doctor on Dec. 31. The appointment following that (4 weeks later), they will do an ultrasound where they can possibly determine the sex of the baby. Fun stuff!

Congrats! Everyone talks about having two little ones like it is SO hard. And it is in some ways. But when I watch my two together, my heart just melts. Neither knows life without the other. If one isn't there, they know it isn't "right". It is an amazing thing to see them interact and to know they will always have each other.

Wishing you a happy and healthy 6 months! (boy-that will go by before you know it!)
