I continue to take cake decorating classes. I find it to be very therapeutic after hanging out with six-year-olds all day. I tried my hand at fondant icing tonight. Here's a picture of my first go at it. I'm not a big fan of the taste of the icing, but it sure looks pretty.

Fun with fondant!
I know I promised to be a little better with this whole blog thing, but I just haven't had anything "blog worthy" lately. I'm enjoying school and my new group of students. I have an amazing parent volunteer that helps out all day on Fridays. I also enjoy working with my new teammate, Diane. Makayla loves her sitter "Te Te." She is now RUNNING and saying so many new words. It's so fun to hear her mimic...watch out four-letter-words! Seth is enjoying football, and watches as much as possible. In between football games, he has been working on my craft room. His goal is to be finished toward the end of October. I'm not allowed to look at it anymore until then. It will be a wonderful surprise. Anyone up for scrapbooking in November??? :)

Wow!! That cake is a work of art! It looks too pretty to eat, although I could go for a piece right now. How about making Christmas cards in your new craft room?
wow! I am so impressed with all you have learned at that class! You truly are ready to start a business!
Wow! What talent... I won't link you to my in-laws blog and the pictures of Chloe's birthday cake! In my defense, she decorated it herself (though that was simply because I knew it wouldn't look much better if I did it!).
Having a little mimic around is fun! But watch out, they really do mimic it all. You should see my 2 year old breastfeeding all of her dolls and telling the dog to shut up. :)
