First Day of School

I love school supplies! Sharpened pencils, clean pink erasers, and the smell of new crayons! It's always refreshing to start the year off with a new group of smiling faces. I had two students in tears this morning...no, it wasn't something I did. They were just having a hard time getting back into the routine. I must say, I felt their pain. After spending the entire summer with precious Makayla, working a full day was a bit of a shock for me as well. I'm very tired and hope to get to bed early tonight...only after I watch The Hills at 10:00. Seth makes fun of me for watching such trash, but it sure is mindless entertainment!

Here's a picture of Little Mak and me on the first day of school. Doesn't she look so grown up?

Yes, Little Mak certainly looked grown up and cute on the first day of school! By the way, you looked very nice too! It is hard getting back into the routine - I was exhausted by the end of the week last week. Go ahead and enjoy some mindless entertainment - it's just what you need!

Well Dana, today certainly was a fresh beginning for both of us. My body is exhausted but my brain is going 1,000,000 miles an hour. I keep thinking about those cute little kids, their eager little minds and all of the "pearls of wisdom" they will expound this year.

You have some great pictures on your site. I am glad things went well for you at school. I hope the rest of the school year goes as well.

Makayla looks like such a little girl now instead of a baby. She is adorable!

And I say mindless entertainment keeps you sane after a long day of work! :) Enjoy The Hills :)
