I took the kids to the county fair (about a month ago!). The only thing Makayla would ride were the stationary tractors...definitely her father's daughter there!
Mimi got Makayla a new outfit to add to her dress up box. Makayla loves to run around pretending to be La La!
Makayla has been learning how to ride a "bike." (Before Mimi broke her ankle!)
Life cycle of a butterfly...first grade teacher moment. We collected some monarch caterpillars on an evening walk and decided to teach Makayla about the changes they would undergo. After ours "hatched," we let the beautiful butterfly go...of course Makayla had to get dressed for the occasion!
Makayla continues to love to play dress up.
On Labor Day, we spent the afternoon at the park. We had a picnic. Makayla played and Liam slept...for a while anyway.

Makayla Rose - 3 months oldLiam has been playing tricks on me. I will put him to bed with his head facing one direction and when I go to get him up, his head is facing the other direction...he's starting to spin and can roll to his side. I love to peek in on him when he's sleeping. Don't you just love his foot sticking out in this picture? I could just gobble his toes up!
Makayla shows some interst in potty training...okay, who am I kidding...about six months ago, she showed interest. Now she just plays with her potty. I guess that's one way of "using" the potty.
My friend Lydia took some 3 month portraits of Liam, while also doing a few family pics. She did an AMAZING job. Just a sneak preview...
We are gearing up for fall in the Roderick house. Looking forward to cool weather, the pumpkin patch, maybe the apple orchard, carving pumpkins, making caramel apples, and Halloween!!! Maybe I'll blog about these things before Christmas! ;)

Finally! just kidding. I was anxious to see the kids. It looks like your whole crew is doing so well. Makayla is so girly, I think that's great. What's the point of having a little girl if she can't be one? Liam will be crawling soon, game over Foster.

Great update! The kids are too cute! We have a pic of Nathan peeking through a tunnel at the park at the same age as Makayla! :)
